Research areas Particle technology, fluidized bed technology, fluidization technology, particle formulation with granulation and agglomeration, transport processes of disperse solid systems, particle based simulation methods (discrete element modelling, population balance modelling) and coupling with continuum approaches (CFD), contact and breakage mechanics of particles, multiscale simulation of complex solid systems, steady-state and dynamic flowsheet simulation of solids processes, chemical processes (Chemical-Looping-Combustion, gasification, pyrolysis)
